Cancellations

As a courtesy to us and other families, please provide as much notice as possible for cancellations. A couple of weeks or more is awesome!
We understand that life takes sudden turns, making it impossible to get away. For family emergencies, dog or human illness, or a workplace cancelling your holidays, there is no charge.
However, if you simply change your mind, have someone else care for your dog, or simply forget, please understand that you'll be charged for a minimum of one night or a maximum of two nights when we are full and turning other customers away, if:
-
you cancel less than one week (seven or less nights) prior to your scheduled arrival date
-
you change your reservation to reduce the number of days booked with less than one week (seven or less nights) notice
It's simple. Give us enough notice so other families can use the space, and you'll avoid cancelation fees. That way everyone is happy - you, us and another family.
For example:
-
You're scheduled to arrive on August 1st and depart on August 15th. You cancel on July 26th. You will be charged for two nights if we have turned others away.
-
You're scheduled to arrive on Thursday and depart on Monday, a four night stay. You call on Sunday to say you're home early and pick up your dog early. We completely understand that you want your dog back (we would too!), however, you will be charged for your original four-night reservation if we have turned others away.
For chronic late cancellers, we reserve the right to request a non-refundable deposit for any future reservation. (Yes, we keep track of these things.)
It is normal and expected that arrival and departure dates will change when you're in the planning stages of your holiday. However, please give us the courtesy of finalizing your dog's plans when you're finalizing your hotels and flights. We'd rather have another guest stay with us than charge you for nights you don't use. We're pretty sure you'd like that too.
